The Giant Mine Oversight Board is an independent body that monitors the remediation of the Giant Mine site in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. GMOB works to ensure that the remediation is carried out in an environmentally sound, socially responsible, and culturally appropriate manner. In addition, the Board is supporting research for a permanent management solution for the arsenic trioxide stored underground at the site.

Created in 2015, the Giant Mine Oversight Board was formed as a condition of the Giant Mine Remediation Project Environmental Agreement. The Board provides independent recommendations to the Giant Mine Project Team, various levels of government, and other involved in the remediation process.
